Do I need a permit to retile?
Per the City of Toledo, painting, tile, carpet and cabinets generally don't need a permit. Moving fixtures or adding circuits/venting does.
Why is waterproofing such a big deal?
Tile and grout are not waterproof on their own. Ask what membrane system goes behind the tile and how it's tested.
How long does a full remodel take?
It varies with scope, permits and material lead times. Ask each remodeler for a written schedule.
Are you the contractor?
No. Glass City Bath is an independent referral/matching service. Independent local businesses quote and perform the work, and we may be paid for introductions.
Is there a cost to request quotes?
No cost to homeowners for an introduction. Any contractor price is between you and that contractor.
